Boys think they are men
Spittin’ game, more like verbal vomit
Sick as in ill throwin up
A slew of ignorant comments meant to
Impress, but
These small remarks
Show the state of many of the corrupted minds
Of Brown babies whose mothers birthed them
Between the ages of
No more than six times two
Or two times older than them at the age of nine
“Shorty” when I am higher than the words
Meant to bring me down when
I don’t respond to the foolish antics of young men,
Who truly just want to get it in and
Out comes sadness and pain
For either reasons of giving in or putting out
With no safety net protecting hearts or
Even insides from killer strands
Focusing more on my assets as I pass by
Than what may be wrong with me
Blinded by backside
Asking Why I Wanna Do That,
Walk on without acknowledgement
Obviously oblivious to the possible state of my mind
And my body
A dime, I am, but that adds up to ten
When the big picture, to get the math,
Must add up to a little more
Mentally doing division, the
Physical consequences of dividing two and
Adding one equals more on the emotional calculator
Than just the Pleasure Principle
Like Common Sense
We must be Mathematically Aware
Fully alert, without help from Canibus
And Dro,
Get down to the Roots and think about Complexity
We Mos Def need to look deeper into ourselves,
Our men, women, and children, all being one
Community being that unity
Get beyond the Ludacris rants and raves of the uninformed
Going from Lil Kim and Lil Wayne,
To grown men and women, reaching our potential,
Being fully loaded Cannons
With true information and insight, not with
The bull that They Say is happenin
We need not be Diamond Princesses,
Under constant pressure to be perfect,
Flawless
We can be apple trees
Growing and nurturing fruit,
Feeding the masses, then
Planting seeds
To be reaped by the future
